Christie has created some wonderful heart warming characters in Evie's year of taking chances.
Evie decides this is the year to find her birth mother. She has been lucky in her last foster home and has Irene as her surrogate mum, however she wants to know her roots as throughout her life she felt ungrounded.
This is a lovely read that kept me hoping for a good outcome for Evie, her friends and Irene are great supportive characters, the story gives a warm hearted feeling.
There are a few predictable twists of conveniences, but I was looking for a lighter read and this filled the gap. It is a great easy read, that is page turning, a real feel good factor read, perfect for Sunny Sunday afternoons, to help lift your spirit.
