Tea for a Great Cause
When my friend Timi found out that there was bids going to have tea with Amanda Jennings and Tammy Cohen, how could I refuse to help her get there. The bids were on Ebay for the proceeds to go to CLIC Sargent http://www.clicsargent.org.uk/ for more information.
We agreed a price, both knowing if it went over we would happily pay more, within reason. We were lucky and won the bid.
Tea was confirmed at Ham Yard, which as you know we had tea there with Kerry Fisher last year, so I knew we were in for some scrummy food, a brilliant setting and looking forward to chatting to Tammy and Amanda.
I had met Amanda on a few occasions previously, and won her books through an auction that was dated on my birthday! I had seen Tammy at a few events, but never had a proper chat. So this was an ideal opportunity.
I have read books by both author's Tammy's Dying for Christmas is one of my All time favourites, as is Amanda's In her Wake, both totally different reads, but both exceptional.
We arrived and were seated, and soon had an amazing tea delivered. I can highly recommend spending time here, it really was the best way to raise money for a great cause.
We had such a good laugh, caught up with there next projects, it was so informal and wonderful.
A big thank you to Tammy and Amanda for their time, to Timi for her eagle eyes in spotting the bid. Ham Yard, for great service and delicious scumptiousness...
