Third in the series of the DI Rosalind Kray series, a series not to be missed.
This Little Piggy
The third is this compelling series featuring DI Rosalind Kray can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading the previous books, as Roz needs to be understood and warmed to. It is great to see her character grow.
Rob has taken a slight turn and the book isn’t as graphic as the previous two in the series, due to the subject matter. It is NOT any less harrowing for this.
I found myself connecting with the characters from both sides of the law and Rob really did make the emotions and reality of his characters shine and come across through the pages.
Rob proved that life isn’t simply black and white. While the tension heats up and the team are hot on the trail, we learn from the point of view of the protagonist. Clever.
We are also given a mix of humour and insight in to Roz’s life especially how she is moving on and with DR Ding Dong no less…
Another excellently written book by Ashman that shows his diversity and he isn’t one to shy away from a challenge and pulled back the graphic horror, but gave us horrors that live inside us instead.
