I first heard about The Escape, through C.L.Taylor tempting us with the book cover.
Having read previous books by this author, she could have sold me the book in a brown paper bag, no blurb, no cover, and go, read!
I waited until I had the time to appreciate the book, sometimes you can fit a book in with life, and other times life needs to fit in with books and I knew once I had started I wouldn't want to stop.
The storyline is gripping, fascinating, the storylines twist and weave together and the strands are separated, pulled back together.
It was an emotional read with family and choices at the centre of it all. We are left second guessing if we make the right choices with what we have here and now.
A brilliantly twisty psychological thriller, that is dark and nearly drives you demented trying to work out what exactly is going on.
