After reading book 1-3 although looking forward to book 4 Angel, I was going to leave a longer gap reading it. Knowing book 5 is due soon.
However, best laid plans. two people I know that had enjoyed the previous books rated Angel higher. Not, that I tool much convincing, so I upped it on my TBR pile.
In Angel, L.J. concentrates slightly less on Ryan's private life and we read more about the team being in the police station, which gives the book a different dimension.
The storyline was yet again intriguing, gripping and as always full of mystery and suspense.
it is also, my favourite of the four books and has an added extra layer to it. I found the placement of where the bodies were being buried were so clever, as is the storyline. Again, centred around religion, and how a person can skew this to make their own beliefs fit with the religion and possibly believe they are doing something for the greater good.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and you can read Angel as a stand alone, but trust me you benefit from reading books 1-3, to get the full Ryan experience.
