One of the strongest and most powerful starts to a book I have read.
We then follow Monica's life after her surviving a fatal accident, Monica can't remember the details of the accident, She does remember seeing a Sinister looking Crow.
Is it her survivor's guilt affecting her?
As her body heals, her mind slowly comes to terms with the accident and the fatality that occurred.
As a reader you are taken through emotional turmoil's, especially between Monica and her Mother, who is trying to help and protect her child from the blows with which she has been dealt.
The story is told from different points of view, and you are slowly fed the details of the fatal crash. What is the deep dark horror of the crow following Monica?
The scenes with the crow were extremely chilling and Slightly reminded me of The Birds By Alfred Hitchcock, this took the story and us on a menacing journey.
A psychological thriller with added horror, that keeps you in suspense through to the end. I found the book very compelling to read, and emotional. It makes you question your own beliefs in what you are reading and where it is all leading.
