This is the third in the series of the North East Police Series, which you can read as a standalone, however personally I feel you benefit from reading the books in order.
K.A. writes in a captivating writing style, and it really shows through this book. It is fascinating to read about the dive team, and the training dives they do as well as the important work, alone in the water, but as a team.
Time to Play focuses on child trafficking, as well as other plot lines, and you are pulled in from the start, The plots make you feel like you are tuning in to real life with harrowing events.
This is all handled with as much care as possible, while delivering a punchy, shocking and detailed storyline.
We get to meet Evie, who thought her hard life was going to be improved, her character is portrayed beautifully and harrowing at the same time. She is so worth reading about, and I wished I could have put my hands in and saved her.
From the Dive Team, I particularly liked Marlo and Ali’scharacters, especially finding out a little more of Marlo’s life, as she is so secretive about her life.
High praise for K.A. Richardson, for another gripping and emotive read, I am looking forward to Book 4 and where it is going to lead the team next.
