This is my first ever review for a blog tour, and what a book to start on!
The start of a day to celebrate 35 years of marriage, what an achievement. Especially when you soon realise that Ray, isn't a man that you would want to be married to.
Anna, decides to leave Ray, after much deliberation I feel, as well as something as small as the anniversary cards that just prove so much. She packs, leaves, goes to her friends. Knowing that she won't be safe there. She soon moves on.
As Anna just settles into her new life, you feel that things can only get better for her, with maybe a few issues with Ray. Then the plot takes a turn.
I am saying no more, apart from read this book.
The characters are so everyday, they could be people you know. Anita, has written a deceptively clever story that leaves you reeling at the end and wondering what you would do in the same situation. Domestic noir witha darker thread running through it.
I found the story easy to get into and once started I couldn't stop until the end, even though I did not want to rush it.
5 star rating review from Bookstormer.
