A truly gripping and fascinating read from various perspectives.
I did delve in to the links that were mentioned in the book, but not too far. I loved the horror elements of this read, which were mostly at the beginning and end, and wished for a few more in the middle.
While reading I was unsure what was fact, fiction, and suspended some belief and enjoyed the read, an extremely clever concept.
Conrad was very much in the forefront of this read, with Evie his dog who I loved and admired while actually never wanting to meet her in life. She sounds adorable for about five minutes...then I really would be petrified of her.
This book will mess with your head, and although I said I tried to not look in to what is real or not, it was there ticking in the back of my mind while reading. A unique look in to the day of an author, and I am hoping it isn't of what is the norm.
A gripping and exciting story, which is a mix of horror, realism, and thriller. Which unexpectedly worked.
