Having read Emma's previous books in the series of Patrick and Jodie, I was looking forward to catching up with them, the story has moved on quite a bit from the last book, which is explained within the pages.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and found the way that Patrick was woven in to the story was unique. I love the idea that buildings hold memories, and felt that this would have been clever to delve in to deeper, maybe in a future novel?

The creepy feel of this book, while curled up in a blanket with the early darkening nights was perfect. It is a chilling read, with  great characters. It was great to have Preston and Lang together.

With the focus not so much on the Spiritual Church and all the characters having decisions to make, it made for a more in-depth read.

A clever twist on a ghost story, with an easy page turning read, with tension and suspense.
