I shall admit, Audible is still a bit of a strange experience for me. However, as this is the first book that I have listened to without reading first. I think I chose wisely.
It was recommended to me by my friend, who listens to many audible books.
I found Hannah Murray, captivated the story so well. The reading of the book was exceptional. I would recommend listening to the audible. I am so pleased I didn't know too much of the story.
As a reader, I prefer to not believe the hype, and enjoy for myself, and then make up my mind if it is worth the great reviews. In this case, definitely.
I would look out for more audible books by this reader.
The story, is sublime for a debut, It was chilling, creepy, and cruel. I found it so cleverly written in the style that it was, this did take a little time to get used to, again I do feel that the bonus of the audible helped with this. It would have been a really good read, audible made it exceptional in my opinion.
Milly was brought up in extreme circumstances and by doing right, did she do wrong, she is as it says her mother's daughter. Which wolf will she feed, is all black and white. Is her new shiny life flawless, her new family? The before and after are not easy for Milly.
My friend made me a sign, and I am not sure if it is quoted from someone, it fits this story brilliantly.
No one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a new ending.
5 star rating review for the story, and the audible version from Bookstormer
