Mary Endersbe has kindly let me share her review of the Audible Version of Sole Intention :-
I always have an audiobook to listen to and I was anxious to listen to one of my favourite author’s books being read by a new narrator. A good reader can make you love or hate an audiobook, no matter what the material is like.
I know from reading other eBooks by this author that her work is top level, so I expected to lose myself into the world that the narrator would lead me into.
I was not disappointed.
This reader is amazing, sounding just as I imagined Ellen, the main character, would sound, using the right tone and cadence as she was reading along. I don’t think there could have been a better narrator for this book.
As for the story, this author has been a favourite of mine since I have been reading the Justice Series.
As with the author’s other books, the thrills start out from page one. Running a missing persons investigation business, Ellen Brazil and Brian Lynx think they are hired for a routine job to find one missing woman, but they actually stumble onto a much bigger case than that; there have been many women missing in the previous months and there may be a connection.
No bodies have shown up, so what could have happened and who could have been involved with their disappearances?
The author does a wonderful job of character interaction. There is a lot of dialogue in this book, which makes it go very fast and before you know it, the end has come, leaving you wanting more.
There is nothing better than listening to a well-written book come to life read by a talented narrator and this audiobook hits the nail on the head on both counts. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next audiobook in the series.
